| Jessica Alba's Biography |
While Jessica was born California, she actually grew up all over the United States due to her dad's military service in the Air Force. She lived in such locations as Biloxi, Mississippi, Del RIo, Texas and Southern California. Jessica became interested in acting along about the age of 12 and within months was signed by an agent and has done considerable film work all during her adolescence.
Jessica took on her first major film role back in 1993 in the teen comedy "Camp Nowhere". After extensive work in television commercials she began to work in several independent feature films while also taking on a variety of television opportunities such as "The Secret World of Alex Mack" in which she played the teen snob who focused upon upsetting the life of the title character. During 1994, she played in a newly updated television film version of the series "Flipper" in which she played the character "Maya".
During 1995, Jessica shot the first season's episodes in its new home of Australia. The series' first year was a success led to a second season in which Jessica also starred.
The show ended in 1997 and later that year, Jessica appeared as the character Eve in the film "Venus Rising". Since then, you have probably seen Jessica in guest appearance on many popular US television shows such as "Brooklyn South", "Chicago Hope" and "Beverly Hills 90210". Now she has her first major starring role as the Dark Angel that premiered in October, 2000 on the FOX network. In this show, her character "Max" is a genetically enhanced human prototype with, extraordinary super-human powers, who searches for others like herself in post-apocalyptic America.
